Keeping career & technical education up-to-date takes a lot of work, and we need your help. Pick some things from this list that you can do and join us in helping teachers teach and students learn.
TO DO LIST
- Help review the CTE curriculum in your field.
- Recruit companies for internships and summer jobs for students.
- Visit schools to share what you know with teachers and students.
- Coordinate teach-the-teacher conferences, classes and events.
- Evaluate third-party certifications for teachers and students in your field.
- Run a plant or office tour of your operation for a class.
- Judge or staff a Citywide Competition in your field.
- Improve our public relations and marketing effort.
- Donate money to help programs or fund a scholarship.
- Raise money from sponsors.
- Loan us your conference rooms for small meetings of 5 to 20 or large gatherings of 100+.
- Strategize about the important trends in your field and discuss what schools need to do to respond.
- Write successful grant proposals to raise money from foundations, governments or community organizations.
Don't over-promise. Be practical. Think about other industry professionals you know who might be able to help. And add anything we missed.
